This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.
What this website collects
The enquiry form. When you submit the contact form we collect the name, email address, telephone number, nearest city and message you provide. That information is emailed to us. It is not stored in this website’s database. This is deliberate: enquiries to a practice like ours frequently contain sensitive personal detail, and the safest place to not leak information from is a table that never held it.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server logs, including IP addresses and pages requested, for security and diagnostic purposes.
Cookies. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress may set a session cookie if you log in to the administration area, which applies to site administrators rather than visitors.
Examination records
Records relating to an actual examination — the agreed questions, the charts, the examiner’s notes and the report — are held separately from this website and are not accessible through it. Those records are confidential to the examinee and, where an attorney or agency instructed the examination, to the instructing party.
We do not release a result to anybody who was not party to the instruction without the examinee’s written authority or a court order requiring it. That includes a partner who attended with you, and it includes family members.
How long we keep things
Enquiry emails are retained for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting appointment, and are then deleted. Examination records are retained in line with professional practice and any legal obligation that applies to the particular instruction.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for marketing. Information is disclosed only to the party who instructed the examination, to a service provider acting for us under confidentiality obligations, or where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Write to appointments@georgiapolygraph.com.
