The first thing we will do is read what you have actually been ordered to do, because the wording determines the format. A direction to be examined on compliance with a specific condition over a specific period is a different examination from a direction to be examined about a single alleged incident, and turning up with the wrong one wastes the appointment.

Where the direction is vague, or where it is unclear who the report should go to, we would rather resolve that with the supervising officer before the appointment than afterwards. Call us with the order in front of you and we will work out what is needed.

Reporting

Reports go to the party named in the order — normally the supervising officer or the court — and a copy is provided to the examinee unless the order says otherwise. We do not release a report to a third party who is not named, including family members, without written authority.

Cost

Court-directed examinations are charged at our standard single-issue rate. Where a court has directed testing at intervals, ask us about the recurring arrangement, which is charged at a lower per-examination rate.
